Purpose
This module was designed to allow data mining of user activity and site traffic for valuable business intelligence. This information covers everything from collaborative filtering, to lead generation to compliance monitoring. See and extract detailed information on who read what articles when. The same type of search can be done by 'member' showing you a list of all records read by record, able to be exported and offered as 'compliance' to human resources or legal. Lead Generation allows a versatile search tool (available only within the Client Console) to report on 'who' is reading 'what' 'when', to allow you to better identify the demographics of your online clientele.
Description
This module allows reporting of private members within your site showing the individual records each member has accessed. This module acts a a reporting tool, that when run will empower you to search by record (Example: A particular article), and then see all members who read that article, able to be exported and offered as 'leads' to prospective advertisers.
The same type of search can be done by 'member' showing you a list of all records read by each member, and be exported and offered as a listing of 'compliance' to human resources or legal. (Example: A desire to know which of our employees have read the latest policy would be dealt with, using this tool). It helps to limit liability within an organization, while at the same providing you with a guide to improve your site, based on what is read, and what isn't.
Lead Generation allows a versatile search tool (available only within the Client Console) to report on 'who' is reading 'what' 'when', to allow you to better identify the demographics of your online clientele.
How To Use
This module is found within the Lead Generation tab of your Client Console. This tool allows you to search by either 'Document' or 'Member'. You will find two search tools 'Search by document' at the top of the form, allowing you to search all documents by keyword or particular type.
Searching by document, will return a list of all of the documents by that type. Clicking on the 'report' icon to the left of each document, will return a list of all of the registered members of your site (i.e. those users who have logged in in which to access content in your site.) From this list of members, you are able to export the member list, including their demographic information (address, company names, telephone, fax, email, etc.) to provide to advertisers. Often thsese exported excel documents will be trimmed to remove personal information, but will ultimately give advertisers a targeted list of users interested in their products or services (which is assumed had been talked about with the document searched in the first place).
Searching by member, will return a list of all of the members by that type. Clicking on the 'report' icon to the left of each member, will return a list of all of the documents read by each member of your site (i.e. those users who have logged in in which to access content in your site.)
Tips About This Module
This module assumes that you are collecting registrants to your site using the Members module, provided by Centralpoint. If you are, instead, validating your private members through a third party means (LDAP, AD, or external fulfillment/subscription house), this information CAN be tracked, but requires modification to allow Oxcyon to collect the demographic information (upon login) for each member to your site.
