Purpose
Forms management was developed to allow you to invite your site visitors to post content to your site (from the front end of your website). This allows ordinary site visitors to post events, news, or whatever you like, subject to editorial review. Postings made by site visitors can be reviewed and approved prior to releasing to the website.
Description
This tool allows you to select which module you would like to have site
visitors post to. When they post, you are provided with an email notification of
an incoming submission. After reviewing the record posted, you can edit and
release to the website. This module is designed to let your site visitors
participate, giving them the ability to both read and write to the site.....vs.
read only.
Oxcyon's sees this requirement to be very different than that
of an ordinary blog. Blogs allow anyone to post anything to your
site....resulting in no editorial review. Blogs give too much control, and
although they may be welcome today....abuse is inevitable; and when they become
abused...abandoned. Forms management is a proactive approach to 'controlled
blogging' letting you control what actually makes it to the site.
