Purpose

UNICODE is supported both on the back end (Client Console) and front end of the site to support content originating from countries outside of the US. This feature was introduced to support multi-lingual, multi-national corporations and organizations whose content management needs (within either one portal or many) span the globe.

Description

This feature allows content contributors from around the world to submit their content, and have it posted to the site in their language, able to be searched, and taking advantage of all of the features of Centralpoint. Often, clients will create Audience Types or Sites within their portal, for their regional and local offices internationally, empowering local contributors to log in and manage their content...the way it is to be seen for that specific region. This features includes support of ALL foreign language characters to include: Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, and others. This support of foregin languages does not suggest that Centralpoint can 'translate' content upon submission, and assumes that the local content contributor has the 'foreign' content in which will be submitted. Editorial review rights (email workflow of review of content submitted by international contributors) may include third party organizations (outside of your company) including translation firms, etc.

This feature is automatically available 'out of the box', and can be modified or controlled in detail by Site Properties
