Go beyond traditional email broadcasting, and Web 1.0 portal pages for your users and instead meet the market demand deliver specific relevant content to each users email or cell phone when they want it.

This tool by Centralpoint allows logged in members or subscribers to your site to sign up for very specific categories of content (both public and private content). This email alert profile, allows content to be sent to them as fast as you approve it for your site. Beyond the traditional email broadcast alert system•.this tool lets the user configure exactly what type of which content is sent to them and how frequently they would like it delivered.

The emails sent to your members will be predicated on the rules you have set in the Alert Modules tool (under Members in your Client Console). For an example, if you selected Product Catalog as one of the modules they can sign up for... you may include the description of the products, or Title, or both.

Within the Alerts Sign Up form your members can select the various modules they wish to receive alerts on. For each module, they are able to select as many categories or taxonomy types of content they will receive. They can even include wildcard keywords which control what records they receive.

What is the difference between this tool, email broadcast and RSS email broadcast?
Email broadcast lets you send one targeted message to a group of similar users whenever you want to, RSS Email broadcast allows all new content to be sent to all users when you specify. Email Alerts lets the user specify exactly what content they want, sending a unique email to each subscriber at different intervals (based on their preferences)

Can Email Alerts support Advertisers and Sponsors?
Yes, you can embed advertising in your Email Alerts, so that all subscribers are fed advertisements in their emails. Imagine delivering rich banner stats without having any traffic to your site.

Can you Personalize Email Alerts sent to Members?
Yes, assuming that you have the members information you can personalize the outbound alerts making for an enhanced personalized experience.

Can you report on the activity of Email Alerts sent?

Yes, you can report on the number of open, bounce back and click through alerts for each type of alert that you create in the Alerts module.

Can you change the design of the Alerts being Sent?
Yes, you have full WYSIWYG over the design of the Email Alerts being sent to your members. You can have different designs per type of content, or easily change the designs of your alerts seasonally or to meet changes in your market.

What are good examples of Alerts people sign up for?
We see alerts for new products, price changes, legislation, policy changes, new articles arriving with specific types or keywords, or buyers interested when new vendors join buyers guides by vertical or product category.


What does this delivery mechanism mean for RSS?
You can still offer RSS feeds of your site, but why would you? RSS and readers are cumbersome and require your users still go to their reader to see stories. It is the difference between having your dry cleaning delivered, or having to go pick it up yourself.
