Purpose

This module was developed to allow clients to PRE-LOAD their site or site section with timed HTML or Flash-based Splash pages (either pop ups, or complete browser pages) that occur on initial visit to the site or these areas.

These records typically will service advertisers, but can also be used for design, messaging, or even alerting particular audiences of an upcoming event. This is broadcast message that all members see whenever they visit your site, or click on a particular section of your site.

How To Use

This module is found under the Design tab of your Client Console. Click on new to create a new splash page. This module allows you to either upload Flash or HTML (including the definition of the width and height) of the splash page (or if it is to take over the browser entirely) and determine how long it is to appear before it goes away. This record can pre-load either the site itself (or any individual site(s) within the portal family), or can be assigned to a site navigation section of your site, allowing a pop up to occur when they click on it.

Tips About This Module

This position within your site can be used to present messages you wish to convey to global audience types, or sold to advertisers to reach your ENTIRE audience base. These advertising position typically hold the highest premium (if applied to the entire site), and generally lessen in price where the splash page is specific to only a particular section within your site.
