What happens to governance when the model changes?

Where governance logic lives inside a provider's tooling, a model change is a migration. Where it lives in your environment, it is a configuration change, and the distinction determines whether model independence is real or nominal.

Skills, prompts and the Vector Index all reside in the organization's own environment in Centralpoint, and model selection happens at runtime. Switching between OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot or an embedded local model requires no re-indexing and no rewriting of governance rules. The Interaction Log makes the change measurable: the same questions can be re-run and compared across full assembled context, separating a model difference from a rule difference.
