Governed Workflow Automation

The distinction between automated and governed automation is what exists afterwards. An automated workflow produces an outcome; a governed one produces an outcome plus a record of which rules were in force, who or what performed each step, and what was considered. The second costs marginally more to build and is the only version that survives a challenge, because the question asked after an incident is never whether the process ran but whether it ran correctly and under whose authority.

Centralpoint retains the governing state alongside the outcome: workflow position on the record, approval history with identity and version, and where AI participated, the skills that loaded and the content retrieved for that execution. A challenged outcome is reconstructable to the conditions that produced it rather than described from memory.
